Avi Ben-Simhon was born in 1947 in Fezze, Morocco. Upon the establishment of the state of Israel in 1948, his family immigrated there. He spent most of his childhood in Jerusalem where he later joined the army service. Upon finishing the service, he and a group of friends founded Kibbutz Eyal. Ben-Simhon has been a painter of contemporary art for most of his life. In 1986 he studied at the acclaimed Avni Art Institute. He also studied at Kallisher Institute of contemporary art from 1987-1990. Ben-Simhon’s unique works of art have been displayed at various exhibitions around the world and are held in many private collections. == Avi Ben-Simhon was born in Fez, Morrocco. Ben-Simhon began his career by teaching art and graphic printing in Israel while pursuing his passion, creating art. His graphic background apparent in his work, Ben-Simhon has created a unique and dynamic contemporary style. Influenced by the Fauvists brilliant colorations, the Cubists interesting perspective, and the art of stained glass, Ben-Simhon's paints powerful images.
