About Artist:
Steven Zaluski was born October 17, 1952 , in Amityville, Long Island . Raised on the windy south shore by the beach, he has always had a deep love for nature and beauty, and a fascination with movement and balance. Learning to water ski and surf at a very young age, Zaluski employs the shapes of the waves into much of his art. "Balance and movement with beauty is the core of my Art". Inspired by Calder and Matisse, Zaluski has created several styles of Kinetic work, both figurative and abstract: ultra curves and hard edge geometric, dancing and balanced figures that move with the wind. He also enjoys creating "found object constructions" with rocks and wood by gingerly balancing the pieces and leaving them exposed to the elements for nature to act upon and others to enjoy. Westhampton Beach and Southampton . While sharing a metal shop with another sculpture, Steven learned to weld in bronze and aluminum and his sculptures began to take the form he has made successful. Today, Steven’s sculptures can be seen nationwide, as well as in Asia and Europe . His work has also been donated to charities such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Broadway Cares/AIDS Foundation. "Once I found my path, many people have helped me along the way. I get to travel a lot during shows and installations across America and abroad. I like to see experience everything in my adventures. I’ve surfed on the east and west coasts, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Australia, and Fiji...I’m a lucky guy."

History:
I create for my soul. I try to convey harmony, balance and a sense of joy to others. Spiritually uplifting creations, simple and graceful, I'd like to make the world a better place, in my own way, with art and music. My shapes, colors and concepts are for my own amusement and I'm overjoyed that others appreciate them and collect them to enrich their lives.
